‘Agate’ Tops Second London Session

Day two of the London Virtual Yearling Sale concluded with Stonebridge Agate luring the highest price of the 37 yearlings sold through the online auction.
Selling as Hip #48, Stonebridge Agate drew a winning bid of $105,000 from Larry Walker to the countdown of the timer. The filly by Muscle Mass is out of the Credit Winner mare Stonebridge Cream, who is a half sister to 2008 Hambletonian Oaks winner Creamy Mimi (3, 1:53.4M; $929,193). Stonebridge Agate is the second foal from the mare, whose first foal is the Southwind Frank filly Demasiado, and is from a maternal line which also includes the dam of Pizza Dolce (3, 1:52.4M; $668,824), dam of broodmare Bella Dolce (3, 1:54.2S; $753,133) who foaled 2021 Hambletonian Oaks winner Bella Bellini (3, 1:52.1M; $705,698).
Another Stonebridge Farm consignee, Stonebridge Jasper, drew the second-highest price of the session when auctioning for $98,000 to Luc Blais. The Muscle Mass colt – selling as Hip #58 – is the seventh foal from Stonebridge Encore, who is a full sister to champion mare Peaceful Way (4, 1:51.4M; $3,245,055).
